The Ugandan music scene is set to witness something fresh and flavoured, thanks to budding Afrobeat musician Julio Ranking, who is dropping his debut single dubbed ‘Maama’ this Friday.

‘Maama’, which is set to drop on YouTube and digital platforms, brings a unique style and taste to the Ugandan music arena because it’s a jam that every person with a mother should look out for.

It’s a song that Julio Ranking composed for the whole world because globally, we all appreciate and acknowledge the contribution of mothers to nation-building.

With ‘Maama’ therefore, chances are high that Julio Ranking will attract a huge audience mainly because of its relatability since it attracts the attention of everyone who knows what it means to be a mother!

Julio Ranking, real name Julius Aniku Lodu, is a Sudanese artist who fled to Uganda with his mother and siblings when war broke out in South Sudan a few years ago.

In Uganda he not only found a home, but it’s also where he discovered his calling for music and since then he has never looked back.
