Don Campbell to Perform in Kenya for the First Time in Landmark Charity Reggae Concert

Renowned Lovers’ Rock artist Don Campbell is set to perform in Kenya for the first time, headlining a landmark charity concert at Nairobi’s KICC Tsavo Ballroom on February 15, 2025. This event aims to raise awareness and support for Kenya’s deaf community.

The concert will also feature performances by internationally acclaimed reggae artist Alborosie, marking his inaugural performance in Africa with a full band. Notable Kenyan artists Nazizi, Wyre, and the Gravitti Band will join the lineup, promising an electrifying evening of music.

Organized through a collaboration between Dutch social enterprise The Long Trail’s Roots and Culture Travel brand, the Deaf Centre Kwale, Mtaani.com, and King Lion Sounds, the event seeks to challenge misconceptions about deafness and highlight the capabilities of deaf individuals in society.

Innovative elements designed to promote inclusion include active participation by deaf community members in selling food and drinks, encouraging attendees to order in sign language, on-site workshops teaching basic sign language, and interactive booths from charitable organizations focusing on disability inclusion, climate action, and food security.

Proceeds from the concert will support vital social programs benefiting marginalized deaf communities in Kwale and Nairobi counties. Tickets are available through authorized vendors, and attendees are encouraged to secure their spots early for this historic event.

This concert represents a powerful fusion of music and social change, offering an unforgettable experience while making a meaningful impact on the lives of many.
