EACC Arrests Bomet Assistant County Commissioner Over Alleged Bribe

Nakuru, Kenya – Officers from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) based in Nakuru have arrested an Assistant County Commissioner from Bomet County for allegedly demanding a bribe of Ksh. 20,000.

According to EACC sources, the administrator was apprehended following complaints that he had solicited the bribe in exchange for facilitating an official service.

The suspect is currently in custody as investigations continue. The EACC has reiterated its commitment to cracking down on corruption within public offices and urged the public to report any such incidents.
