Shakib and Zari Reunite for Eid Celebrations Following Public Dispute

Ugandan socialite and businesswoman Zari Hassan and her husband, Shakib Cham Lutaaya, have reunited to celebrate Eid together after a recent public disagreement that temporarily strained their relationship. The couple’s reconciliation has been warmly received by fans and followers, who were concerned about the future of their union.

The discord between Zari and Shakib became public in August 2024 when Zari criticized Shakib on social media, accusing him of insecurity—particularly regarding her interactions with her ex-partner, Tanzanian musician Diamond Platnumz. The tension escalated after Diamond attended their daughter Tiffah’s birthday party in South Africa, which reportedly upset Shakib. In a candid social media post, Zari questioned Shakib’s role in her life, stating, “I don’t think I’m for you. I’m very secure, and I chose you. But with your insecurities… maybe you should find someone on your level.”

Acknowledging her misstep, Zari publicly apologized to Shakib in early September 2024, admitting that her social media outburst was a mistake driven by frustration. She expressed regret for airing their private matters publicly and sought forgiveness from her husband. “Things happen… God created us to make mistakes… We make mistakes… But after you reflect and realize you went overboard,” she said.

Following her apology, the couple was seen spending quality time together in Kampala. They attended social events and were spotted dancing closely at a nightclub, indicating a positive turn in their relationship.

Their reunion during the Eid celebrations further signifies their commitment to overcoming challenges and strengthening their bond. Fans have expressed their support and happiness for the couple, hoping that this reconciliation marks a new chapter in their relationship.

Zari and Shakib’s journey highlights the complexities of relationships in the public eye and underscores the importance of communication and forgiveness in resolving conflicts.
