As Kenyans celebrate their Independence Day, which is also officially known as Jamhuri Day, Gengetone Radio has decided to surprise them by dropping the 8th edition of the annual Jamhuri Throwback EP.
We can ably reveal that the Gengetone Radio Jamhuri Throwback Edition EP, VIII which features thrilling music videos performed by top Kenyan artists, is now available for streaming on YouTube, where Gengetone enthusiasts are already vibing to it.
This year’s Edition features all the great jams done by Gengetone stars like Fathermoh, Odi Wa Murang’a, Teslah, Exray Taniua, and Ssaru, among others, which will keep thousands of their fans entertained throughout the festive season and long thereafter.
It should be noted that Jamhuri Day is a national holiday in Kenya, celebrated on 12 December each year. Jamhuri is the Swahili word for “republic” and the holiday officially marks the date when Kenya became an independent country on 12 December 1963, six months after gaining internal self-rule on 1 June 1963 from the United Kingdom.
Part of the achievements that Kenya has registered ever since the country attained its independence is creating a favourable environment that enables the identification, promotion, and growth of talent especially in the creatives industry, which has over the years seen the country boast of having one of the most vibrant music industries in East and Central Africa.
Make sure you don’t miss out on this year’s Gengetone Radio Jahmhuri Throwback Edition EP, because everyone can stream it on YouTube by simply tapping the link above!
