High Court Bars Samidoh from Contacting Woman in Ongoing Rape Case

The High Court has issued interim orders against popular Kikuyu musician Samuel Muchoki, popularly known as Samidoh, restraining him from contacting or interfering with a woman who has accused him of rape.

The orders, issued on Thursday, come after the complainant moved to court seeking protection, claiming that the artist had allegedly subjected her to sexual assault and later attempted to intimidate her. The woman told the court that she feared for her safety and needed legal protection as the case proceeds.

Justice [insert judge’s name if available] granted the temporary orders pending the hearing and determination of the case, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that both parties are given a fair platform in court while also safeguarding the complainant from potential interference.

Samidoh, who enjoys massive popularity as a leading Mugithi and Kikuyu benga musician, has not publicly responded to the fresh court orders. However, the case has stirred heated debate online, with fans divided—some calling for due process to take its course, while others defending the singer’s reputation.

The court is expected to give further directions on the matter once the case is mentioned for hearing.

This development marks a significant turn in what could become one of the most high-profile cases involving a Kenyan musician in recent years. As the legal process unfolds, all eyes will be on the courtroom to see how the case progresses and whether more details will come to light.
