The Museum of Illusions has recently opened its doors in Nairobi, offering a unique blend of education and entertainment. Located at Laxcon Plaza, Shop 1, Narayan Road, Parklands, the museum features over 60 interactive exhibits designed to challenge perceptions and delight visitors of all ages.

The exhibits include optical illusions, immersive rooms, holograms, and stereograms, providing an engaging experience that stimulates both the mind and senses. Notably, the museum has collaborated with local artists to create bespoke exhibits that celebrate Kenyan culture:

  • Moha, the Father of Matatu Culture: Designed the Reversed Room, inspired by Nairobi’s iconic matatus.
  • Lulu Kitololo: Created themes featuring contemporary Kenyan female characters, reinterpreting traditional jewelry and fabrics.
  • Brian Omolo: Unveiled a mural inspired by Nairobi’s urban culture.

These partnerships highlight the museum’s commitment to showcasing and promoting local talent.

The Museum of Illusions Nairobi is open from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Wednesday, and from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, Thursday through Sunday. Tickets can be purchased through the official website.
